(photo courtesy: Albert Ojwang)  Albert Ojwang was a respected teacher and outspoken political commentator on social media platform X.  Based in Voi, Albert became known for fearlessly addressing political issues and had earned a large online following.  His influence made him a popular figure, especially among the youth who admired his courage in speaking out. Why Was He Arrested? On Saturday, 7 June 2025, Albert was arrested in Migori while visiting his family.  According to his father, the arrest was carried out by men in plain clothes.  When questioned, the officers reportedly said Albert had “insulted their boss” on social media. No official warrant was shown, and no proper explanation was provided at the scene. His father was simply told to follow them to the police station if he wanted to know more. Where Was He Taken?
