(photo courtesy: Inside view of KRA office in Nairobi)  The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has officially announced an extension of working hours to support taxpayers filing their 2024 income tax returns ahead of the 30th June deadline. According to a notice released on Tuesday, 20th May 2025, KRA stated that all main service centres and selected Huduma Centres will now operate for 12 hours on weekdays, opening from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.  This move is aimed at making the tax return process easier for millions of Kenyans who are yet to file. On Saturdays, only Tax Service Centres will remain open between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, while Huduma Centres will stay closed.  However, on Saturday, 28th June, KRA will extend Saturday working hours until 6:00 pm at Tax Service Centres to accommodate more last-minute filers.
