Two Kenya Air Force pilots have been confirmed dead after their military aircraft crashed on the morning of Saturday, June 14, in Viramboni village, Ndavaya area, Kinango Sub-County, Kwale.
Kwale County Commissioner Stephen Orinde confirmed the incident, revealing that the aircraft went down during a routine training mission.
The military plane, identified as a Grob 120A, crashed near Mwakijembe Primary School, sparking panic among residents and learners in the area.
According to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), the aircraft experienced an emergency mid-air, although the official statement did not clearly confirm the fatalities.
However, local authorities later verified that both officers on board tragically lost their lives.
