Moses Kuria Admits Funding Maina Njenga, Exposes Gachagua’s Dark Secret Over Northlands Raid

A political earthquake has erupted after Moses Kuria dropped a shocking confession online, leaving power players scrambling for cover. The former Trade CS claims he bankrolled Maina Njenga — and worse, witnessed Gachagua orchestrate the infamous Northlands raid.

In a blunt post on X, Kuria admitted funding Njenga, the ex-Mungiki boss whose name still rattles many Kenyans. His revelation came in retaliation to Gachagua's accusation of betrayal, even as the former Deputy President tours the United States. Kuria didn’t hold back — alleging that Gachagua paid men to raid former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Northlands farm and steal goats.

That 2022 raid left over 1,400 sheep missing and was widely blamed on political retribution in the thick of a heated election season. While the government distanced itself from the incident, no arrests were ever made, and the motive remained officially unresolved.

The Kuria-Gachagua feud is hardly new. In 2023, Gachagua labelled Kuria “arrogant” at a public rally, a moment many saw as a crack in the Mt Kenya unity wall. Their ongoing spat now confirms what insiders suspected: the rivalry is far deeper than public spats suggest.

Njenga remains a polarising figure, despite being cleared of criminal charges. His political re-emergence, backed by Kuria’s admission, throws Central Kenya politics into fresh chaos — and forces the Ruto camp into uncomfortable silence.

As Mt Kenya leaders jostle for influence ahead of 2027, Kuria’s outburst reopens old wounds and ignites new suspicions. Who funded the Northlands attack? And why is the truth only surfacing now?

With no official response from Gachagua, Kenyans are left to wonder: is this just the start of deeper secrets spilling out?
